if i jail break my itouch with 1.1.4 ziphone, will it erase my new software update that i paid for?
i updated my ipod with the new 1.1.4 and i also paid for the $15 upgrade that include the weather app the email app ect.
i want to jail break the itouch but i dont want to wait for the sdk, if i use the ziphone and restore my itouch, will it delete the software update, i dont want to have to pay for it again
It should not delete the software update. If it does, contact Apple.
Apple recommends restoring your iPod Touch if anything goes wrong...they're not gonna make you have to pay for the apps again. They only do that for songs because you can back that up...while you can back up the apps, they don't expect you to know that it's in the plug-ins folder.
ZiPhone doesn't restore your iPod Touch...fyi.
The thing you pay for ($20) is an activation...the apps themselves are actually in your iPod already with the update...the iTunes thing just activates them.
Now if you reformatted your computer...that might do it, but if you're just restoring your iPod, then it will NOT remove the apps.

all the iphone apps (mail, maps, notes, etc.) are up to date when u jailbreak the iphone

Well you could downgrade it if you would like then do it???
Hold SHIFT and ALT on your keyboard and press restore orrrrr check for update(dunno which 1 sorry) and select a different version like 1.1.2
