What do you personally think is better: PC World or PC Magazine?
I've never had time to experiment, and there isn't a place in my town to look for PC Magazine. They just sell PC World around here, and I got a subscription. Is it worth it or should I get PC Magazine?

why does pc world magazine keep doing this??
Ok..now..about like 3 monthes ago..i signed up for 2 RISK FREE issues..i got them..didnt like pc world that much..then they sent me this bill....$20 for 12 magazines.... never respond..then week after week they keep sending me the same bill telling me that i am at risk of going on that stupid non pay file..i dont care because im not ordering their mag..i even emailed them telling them my name and address and to STOP mailing me!....they never stopped..how can i get them to stop??
p.s: i am so not paying 20 bucks ok....i only wanted to try the mag..anit like it..so..
Hi! I've had that problem with too many 'free' deals.
So - I started keeping a 'paper trail' on everything. I printed out a copy of the 'free' offer and a copy of their acknowledgement of my requesting the 'free' offer.
When the 'free' mag(s) came I decided whether the subscription price was a good deal or not, and if it was, i paid the bill when it came.
If it wasn't - which it usually was not a good deal - I wrote in red magic marker across the face of the bill, CANCEL. Then before I mailed it, I made a copy of what I was mailing. I attached this copy to the original copies I made regarding this 'free' deal.
When they keep sending mags, and you've already told them you want to CANCEL the deal, then (according to 'Dear Abby') you can keep them. They are FREE.
When you get another bill, mark it 'CANCEL' like you did last time and enclose a copy of the first 'cancel' notice you sent them. Keep a copy or at least a note to yourself that you did this.
If they have an emaill addy, back up your snail mail 'cancel' with an email request to cancel.
It's a pain, but if you have proof that you said 'cancel' and they didn't stop sending mags, then you get to keep the mags, and you don't have to pay.
I learned this the hard way. And it cost me plenty because I let them intimidate me.
Don't back down. And be sure to keep a paper trail.
