Whats the difference between MDMA and ecstacy?
Some internet sites say its the same as ecstacy and some say it's different.
Is it in ecstacy but when you take it on it's own its just MDMA?
What is more dangerous?
Also if someone says about taking 'crystals' are they talking about crystal meth or a crystal form of MDMA?

If MDMA is in ecstacy then what else is in it to make it ecstacy and not just MDMA?
MDMA (Methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is a psychoactive chemical that is found in ecstasy. It's also classed as a stimulant. The UK Medical Research Council says that MDMA is less harmful than marijjuana, tobacco, & alcohol, as well as most prescription drugs. (Wikipedia)
I don't think "crystals" are MDMA, probably meth or crack, not sure though.
Some psychiatrists have used MDMA on groups of test subjects to determine it's effects on the brain. The results showed that the subjects given the MDMA did remarkably better than other subjects,( who were given a placebo), in all of the tests, such as motor skills, creativity, memory tests, cognitive skills, etc. It has also been used for anxiety, depression, phobias, etc. with positive results, because it helped the patients relax. It has also been used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder in war veterans.
Some ecstasy tablets contain other drugs besides MDMA, such as meth, cocaine, speed, caffeine, etc. which it what makes ecstasy dangerous, because some pills aren't "pure".
The long-term effects of ecstasy still aren't known. But like any drug, there is a possibility of serious side effects like anxiety, depression, tolerance, mood swings, irritability, withdrawls, etc. if it is abused.

Is MDMA supposed to look like crystals?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the difference between Ecstasy (MDMA) and Crystal Meth was. I know that they both are some ingredient and methatphetamines so I wasn't quite sure what made them different.
