IOCTL_SetPort could not be found, I get this in a popup window when I boot up.?
It pops up when the desktop loads. I click ok in the window box and the computer runs normally. Just wondering what this means.

I was having the same issue on a brand new laptop that I was setting up for someone. I searched around and eventually tried something I found and it worked. What it is, is the Alps touchpad on the laptop. The driver was updated through Windows Update to a new driver for supporting Windows Vista. Click Start and then RIGHT click on "My computer" and select Properties. Then click on the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button. Find the "Mice and other pointing devices" in the tree and expand it (click the little + sign) then double-click on Alps Touchpad to bring up it's property sheet. Click the Driver tab, and then there's a button that says Roll back driver. Click it. It will ask you if you're sure, click yes. When it's done, click OK or finish (not sure which) and it will ask you if you want to restart your computer. Let the computer restart and on next boot, voila, no more annoying DLL_LOAD popup error.

Does windows have an equivalent of SIOCOUTQ to find the amount of unsent data in the socket send buf
